Be Smart Investor

Recently I joined a program held by PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) called Sekolah Pasar Modal (SPM). That program aim public to be more educated about investing in Capital Market. This is very important since only a few of Indonesian have joined into this activity.

SPM will be divided into two types, SPM Reguler and SPM Syariah. Both of them are divided into 2 parts, Level 1 and Level 2. Previously PT BEI held two parts in different days but now they already held both in the same day, hence learning material becomes more compact but still valuable. I recommend to join both parts to complete our knowledge about capital market.

Why Investing Is Important?

That program makes me aware that joining capital market is essentially not about profit but investation. It is not about how big return that you may get after few years. But how the “value” of your fund is maintained following inflation rate. Big return is bonus.

That is why financial planner always said if we wanted to invest, what purpose we aim and how many years we will expect it to be returned. 1 year? 3 years? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? It determines what type of instrument that we would purchase in capital market.

How to choose instrument to invest? How to choose which stock/mutual fund? You may join the program to get further information. It is free, they would help us to create an access to capital market, also free snack and free lunch (Ha!).
