Marking the last day at the office in 2016, our team visited Gula Merah which has various snacks in their menu. We ordered all types of snacks which listed below for 8 persons,
It is a tea that is served in clay pot and using sugar box to sweeten the tea. The sugar is hard to melt which lasted longer in the small cup (which also made from clay). Usually it is served for gathering in long time (in our term called as cangkruk or kongkow).
It is good, recommended, and worth to try.
Pisang Madu, Singkong Bawang Putih
Pisang madu (sweet banana) would be served with brown sugar (gula jawa). You may not mix them if you do not like sweet in your fried snack. 1 serving size is for 3 persons. I did not see it in the menu but we could order it anyway (?). Singkong bawang putih is also for 2-3 persons though it has 7 items in 1 serving size. You might not try it if you do not like onion.
It is good, not recommended, but ok to try.
It has various ingredients inside the Tahu (tofu), mostly vegetable such as bean sprouts, carrot, etc. It is good, recommended if you are a bit hungry.
Martabak Tahu Telor
This is my most favourite menu. It is fried tofu mixed with egg and contained with thin layer as martabak. It is very nice, very recommended, and you should try. I might put this as 6-stars menu in Gula Merah.
Especially for our boss and also all colleagues in the moment. See you next year in 2017.
